Nanoparticle Drug Delivery Assay in Tumor Spheroids
To determine efficacy of nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems in tumor spheroids.
Nanoparticulate pharmaceutical drug delivery systems are widely used in pharmaceutical research and in clinical settings to enhance the effectiveness of diagnostic agents and drugs, including anticancer, antimicrobial and antiviral drugs . We established a cell-based assay to evaluate kinetics of efficacy of nanoparticle-based delivery systems in human tumor spheroids taking advantage of live-cell imaging and time-lapse technology.
